I have two beautiful sons who I cherish and a wonderful husband.

Personal and Career Goals:

My career goal is to be an Executive and make an impact on an organization through managing people. I love to travel and am making my way to each state (slowly but surely).  I also love learning and would like to achieve my Ph.D.

What objectives do you hope to accomplish as a member of Chats?

I would like to gain confidence in my speaking. I would also like to entertain and inspire audiences through my speeches.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?

Public speaking is a part of my volunteer work at United Way. I assist during their annual campaign by speaking at companies about the allocation panel I am a part of.  At my full-time job from time to time I have to present information to groups of people.

How would you describe your current skill level as a speaker?

I would say in beginner trending towards intermediate.  I am gaining confidence, but at the same time have no real idea what my body is doing during the speech.  Also, I am having a hard time thinking of what to speak about.

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?

Of course!!  My stomach falls out of my stomach and all of my emotions come out all at once in all different directions!!

Why did you choose to join Chats?

I love the people at Chats.  I look forward to being able to get to know everyone more throughout the next year.  Everyone is supportive, friendly and great at giving specific feedback to help me improve!  I got lucky on my first attempt at finding a club and feel fortunate to have a safe environment to practice my leadership and speaking skills!
