What objectives do you hope to accomplish as a member of Chats Toastmasters?
I want to become a speaker that everyone wants to watch and listen.  I want to be effective with communicating my ideas and solutions to clients and friends.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?
Absolutely!

How would you describe your current skill level as a speaker?
I think I am a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.
I have no fear of public speaking – which is a huge benefit.  However, my communication techniques need improvement.

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?
Well, I don’t have the fear of being in front of people.  I do have a fear that the audience doesn’t want to or doesn’t listen to me.

Why did you choose to join Chats Toastmasters?
I began “dating” many toastmasters groups near my home.  Within the first hour with Chats, I knew I found my group.
Chats has amazing energy!  The members are truly supportive; and wow, they are impressive speakers.

What can Chats Toastmasters do to help you accomplish your goals?
I want consistent speaking practice and regular feedback from other members about my presentations.  I like constructive criticisms as well as compliments and suggestions for improvement from Chats members.  Also, please encourage me to be courageous and have confidence in myself.

Tell the group anything else that you’d like us to know about you!!
I recently left a 10-year career as a litigation consultant to pursue a dream.  I started my own consulting and coaching business specializing in professional services firms.  I plan to consult, coach, and lead workshop/trainings on employee motivation and morale. 
Ultimately, my dream is to be a professional speaker.  How awesome for organizations to pay you to motivate and lead their employees!  Moving in this direction is bold move for me.  I stepped away from comfort and safety to pursue a long-time dream.
