I come from a large family have four brothers who may have shaped some of my early programming in Tom Boyhood and love of outdoor adventures and competitive sports.

In that regard, I have a lifetime love affair with the outdoors, especially including hiking, boating, water skiing and snow skiing, white water rafting, camping and general exploring in challenging areas.  In years past, I got my private pilot’s license and my multi-engine, instrument ratings and have Learjet experience.  I love the country and would treasure being able to live affluently in that environment.

Which brings up another component of who I am.  A Princess.  I love luxuries, beautiful environments and beautiful wardrobes and fine dining and travels.  I am blessed with a wonderful gift in designing awesome environments and that is a personal passion of mine that I would love to expand in the future.  Because of those loves, I am driven in careers that can generate large incomes.  However, I would prefer to simply be a Princess and not have to be the provider I have had to be all of my life until now. 

Until my Prince arrives, I must meet my loves with my own achievements.  Those achievements will be greatly expanded when I gain my Personal Power with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively. 

I am truly excited to explore and develop all of the ways one can connect with others through powerful communication to achieve some great things in the world!

Communication and Leadership Goals

What objectives do you hope to accomplish as a member of Chats Toastmasters?
I hope to develop a comfort in public speaking that derives from the ability to communicate powerfully and effectively.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?
Yes.  This is a new component in my life and has been a personal challenge in overcoming deep fears and insecurities.  Yet, I find myself very excited about learning and growing in this area and I actually have a deep drive to take this challenge and experience very far!

How would you describe your current skill level as a speaker?
Having now been forced to bumble ineffectively in front of a lot of people for about a year, I would describe my current skill level as still very mediocre and non-powerful.  Interestingly, I have grown less frightened of large numbers of people and much more interested in being able to deliver great and convincing communications to them.

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?
I am always fearful of not being able to communicate effectively and eloquently.  I lose my ability to be fluently articulate in front of a group of people.

Why did you choose to join Chats Toastmasters?
Anna Watson said that it was a group of terrific people and it happens to be a great location and time for me.  I have been very impressed with everything I have seen of this group in the two meetings in which I have been a guest.

What can Chats Toastmasters do to help you accomplish your goals?
Having seen Chats in action, I believe that this group can give me an education that provides the foundation of understanding how to be effective, articulate and profound in communicating, whether to large or small groups of people.

I am truly excited to join you and to learn from you.  I trust you enough to be at your mercy in this growing process.
