Employer / Occupation:
Pinnacle Aviation

Accomplishments & Interests:
I began my career in aviation as a corporate pilot and eventually started Pinnacle Aviation in 1988. Pinnacle Aviation encompasses 5 different companies including sales/acquisitions, management, charter, maintenance and insurance. Being involved in aviation for 37 years, my focus has always been to have a company that is detail oriented and provides top level service in the different facets of the business.

When I'm not working, our family loves to go boating and do various water sports. To accomplish the various water sports, I am motivated to workout 6 days a week.

Personal & Career Goals:
To continue to build confidence in delivering speeches that are well organized and that motivate the audience.

What objectives are you planning to accomplish as a club member?
To learn from other club members so I can further improve in writing my speeches and to deliver speeches with much more vocal variety. This being said, being able to deliver a speech not being nervous will always be a goal I will want to achieve.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?
Public speaking is not a requirement of my job, but if asked by someone in my profession to deliver a speech, it is great to have the knowledge and skills that I am learning at Chats.

Describe your current skill level as a speaker:
I feel I have made a drastic improvement from when I first joined Chats. I now can deliver a speech with minimal "ahs" compared to having 34 ahs in my first speech. I am still nervous but feel that working the audience has greatly improved and I can deliver a message that generally inspires the audience.

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?
Nervousness is always tops on the list but that is getting better.

Why did you choose to join Chats Toastmasters?
Because of the professionalism of the organization and the great asset of having Joel Weldon as our Mentor. Joel's knowledge is amazing which has allowed me to advance in my speaking.

What can Chats Toastmasters do to help you accomplish your goals?
Keep up the great dedication to having everyone be involved and us learning from each other.

Tell the group anything else that you?d like us to know about you!!
Being a member of Chats has definitely changed my life by allowing me to deliver speeches I never thought I could do.
