Message from Howard Nochomovitz:

Hello Everyone,

You helped me today... - wondering how?... since you haven't seen me in, like, forever?

At work today, I was called on to deliver two impromptu speeches in front of 15 co workers, as part of a public speaking workshop. Using ALL the skills you helped me refine, and by recalling all the tips in your evaluations, I delivered two speeches that were very well received.

The facilitator commented "...you've spoken in public before haven't you?"  Why yes I have I said... And that public was mostly you all every Monday.

Thank you for helping me build a better Howard!

Jennifer Carroll Wins GOLD!!!

She won the GOLD medal, first place award in the Area C6 Humorous Speech Contest September 18th.  She got the audience on her ‘humor’ bus right from the get go and had them enjoying the ride as she made a point, used humor, PAUSED for the laughter and then did it all over again for 6+ minutes. She actually kept her speech UNDER the time limit for a change. She learned and made the point that ‘less is more’. That’s more GOLD in this case.

She moves on to compete in the Cholla Division Humorous Speech Contest scheduled for Friday, October 24. Please mark your calendars, line up your babysitter and plan to attend to support her next competition. More details to come in the future.

Thanks to the CHATS members and their spouses who attended the contest last night. CHATS had the most members in attendance and raised the roof with cheers before and after her speech and especially when she WON...
