Occupation and Employer:
Snow Property Services/Compliance Manager

Mentor/Sponsor:
Jenny Locklin

Accomplishments and Interests:

I have reached different goals for the various occupations I've had.  The most rewarding thus far is when I was Director of Development for Maggie's Place (a local nonprofit that helps pregnant women who are homeless).  I'm not serving as a co-chair/volunteer for the organization.  I am a big process girl so I'm all about finding a process, using it and perfecting it.

I love to sing, watch movies, eat Chipotle, visit family/friends and anything social.

Personal and Career Goals:

My first interest is figuring out  this whole married thing.  Having only been married for a few months, I'm still trying to master this "wife" role.  Thankfully, Paul loves me so he's patient (foolish man).

I want to have 6 kids.  Yes, I did say 6.  Yes, my husband does know this and he still married me.

I want to start a non-profit one day.

What objectives do you hope to accomplish as a member of Chats Toastmasters?
Well, I have always seen Chats as a way to grow professionally which is a little less relevant for my current job.  However, I do get some rather strange calls about (chickens in backyards, barking dogs, sheep, and anything else that someone wants to tell me their neighbor is doing).  I often think Chats has taught me how to keep a straight face and respond with a well thoughtout response that is succinct and does not drip with disdain.  Chats has helped me even figure out where I want to be and what I really enjoy about the different jobs I have had.  In short, Chats is an amazing experience and everyone should join.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?
Not really but you never know when you'll need it.  I use it more when volunteering on nonprofit projects.

How would you describe your current skill level as a speaker?
Well, sad to say, despite my considerable time with Chats, it is okay.  I have only done three speeches thus far.

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?
I don't really have any fears other than being boring.

Why did you choose to join Chats Toastmasters?
To be more succinct...I like to talk and sometimes too much and in circles.  I want to have the biggest impact (positive impact) with the least amount of words.

What can Chats Toastmasters do to help you accomplish your goals?

Make me do my next speech soon and come up with a topic for me.

Tell the group anything else you'd like them to know about you.4
I am thankful for each person.  It is just a great group.
