·         Meet and Angel (Elizabeth) in 1997 and married her in 2000

·         Served in the Youth Ministry from 1998 - 2002

·         Birth of daughter Jordan (in 2002) who has a spicy, companionate personality.

·         Birth of warm and playful son Noah in 2004.

·         Started Ironwood Lending, a mortgage brokerage in 2001 that grew to 50 employees.  Sadly Ironwood Lending was a casualty of the Banking Crisis and closed in June of 2007.  The blessings that have come through this are receiving clear understanding as to what is really important….. RELATIONSHIPS!!!

·         Teach / Lead a class about Financial Peace on Monday evenings

What objectives do you hope to accomplish as a member of Chats Toastmasters?
To To gain confidence when speaking in with and in front of people I don’t know.

Is public speaking a requirement of your job or profession?
    
No, but it can be very helpful.

How would you describe your current skill level as a speaker? 

Mediocre overall.  I’m solid in front of people I know and feel comfortable with.  I’m anxious in front of  larger groups and people I don’t know yet

Do you have any specific fears relative to public speaking?
 
I fear embarrassing myself

Why did you choose to join Chats Toastmasters?

I found CHATS on the internet and visited the chapter and was impressed with the people and fun atmosphere.

What can Chats Toastmasters do to help you accomplish your goals?
 
Encourage and challenge me & help me stop saying “Ummmm”
